What the service is
Habit Territory is a tracker for habits and challenges with a territory game on top. You enter your own progress; the service converts it into cells at the rate your room agreed and shows the result to the other members of that room.
Your account
Habit Territory is for people aged 18 or older; do not create an account if you are younger.
An account is an email address. Signing in means receiving a six-digit code at that address and entering it, so anyone who can read your mail can sign in as you — that is worth knowing when you choose which address to use. You can see your signed-in devices and end any session from the application, and you can delete the account entirely from the profile screen.
What you put in
The progress figures and notes you enter are yours, and they are visible to the other members of the rooms you join. Do not put anything in a note that you would not want those people to read. You are responsible for what you write there, including the display name you choose. Abusive or objectionable content, and abusive behavior toward other players, are not tolerated: report an entry (a message is reported through its entry) or a player from the app, and a note or message found abusive is removed.
Invitations
An invitation link is a credential: whoever opens it can join that room. Treat one like a key rather than an address, and do not post one publicly.
Fair use
Do not attack the service, do not attempt to reach other people's accounts or rooms, and do not automate sign-in requests. The number of sign-in codes and of mail messages the service will send is limited, and accounts that exhaust those limits on purpose can be suspended.
What is not promised
This is a small service run by one person. There is no guaranteed uptime, no guaranteed response time, and no promise that a feature present today will still be there next year — the one exception is a report submitted in the app or by email, which is reviewed within 24 hours; see Support. Backups are taken nightly and kept for fourteen days, which is a real safety net and not a guarantee against every kind of loss. The service is provided as it is.
Cost
Habit Territory is free to use today, and nothing in the application asks for payment. Should that ever change, the change will be announced before it takes effect and never applied retroactively to something you have already done.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any moment from the profile screen. The operator may suspend an account that breaks the fair-use paragraph above, and will say why.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. A dispute that cannot be settled by writing to the address below falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris. This does not take away the protection a consumer has under the mandatory rules of the country where they live, or their right to bring proceedings there.
